Artek and ANO "Do It Together" will initiate the "People of Artek" international action
The United Russia Commission for International Cooperation and Support of Compatriots Abroad will consider the initiative of the Do It Together Movement and the Artek International Children's Center to implement the Artek People international action for foreign schoolchildren in 2023-2025.
Roman Romanov, coordinator of the "World of Opportunities" party project, announced this during the 7th conference of thematic partners, which took place at the Artek International Children's Center. According to him, as part of the action, high school students - foreigners will be asked to conduct their own research, which of the representatives of their country has ever visited Artek and what role Artek played in their lives. The results of the study in the format of a lesson - presentations will need to be presented to schoolchildren of their country, and a report on the activities carried out by the organizers of the action. The action will be held with the assistance of the World of Opportunities party project.
For the first time, the “People of Artek” action was held in 2022, as part of preparations for the centenary of the Artek International Children’s Center. The special project “People of Artek” introduced schoolchildren to Artek students of the past, as well as to modern pupils, for whom the famous camp played a big role in life. The idea of holding the action was proposed by the Artek residents themselves at the project session of the Do It Together movement, which took place in the children's center in September 2021. Speaking at the start of the action, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Onishchenko noted: “As part of this project, we invited the guys to study what Artek gave to those then young pioneers and Komsomol members, as well as modern children. Because Artek is, so to speak, the forge of a great society, where children went and go who showed themselves in something. The winners of the first action "People of Artek" took part in a thematic session at the ICC "Artek" in September 2022.
