People of Artek International Contest launched in India
The event of the international action «People of Artek» dedicated to the centenary of Artek was held on the place of Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in India
The coordinator of the project «World of Opportunities» of political Party "UNITED RUSSIA" Roman Romanov told the students of «Bluebells International School» in Delhi about the international action.
«As part of the competition, we offer you to get acquainted with information about Russia and «Artek», as well as to conduct a study about a person from India who has ever visited the legendary «Artek». After that, it is necessary to provide information about Artek and the results of your research within the framework of «Artek Lessons» at your school for your friends and junior high school students», — Roman Romanov said.
Alexander Dodonov, the chief expert of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in India, together with representatives of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia Marina Volkova and Irina Polyakova, showed Indian schoolchildren a presentation about the contest, told about «Artek» and showed a short video about the international children's center.
«You are the first schoolchildren in India who have learned about the Artek People contest, the winners of which will be able to visit Russia and the Artek International Children's Center in the summer of 2023»,— Alexander Dodonov said in his speech.
Irina Polyakova, Head of the Department of Spiritual Culture of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia, shared her childhood memories of her stay in Artek. She stressed that the most important thing Artek taught her was the ability to be friends. And this skill remained with her for the rest of her life.
Platon Mersiyanov, the head of the children's inclusive media volunteer corps «Invisible Wings», who has already visited Artek several times, spoke about the traditions of «Artek» and why «Artek» is rightfully called the country of childhood.
