Lebanese learned about the international competition "People of Artek"

A presentation of an international campaign dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Artek International Children's Center took place at the site of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Lebanon.

The project coordinator in Lebanon, Svetlana Safa, told the Lebanese schoolchildren and their parents about the international competition, and a video about the Artek ICC was also presented.

This is the first event in the cycle of meetings with teenagers in different cities of Lebanon to attract attention in the competition.

One of the meeting participants, Natalia Jbara, a doctor and a graduate of a Russian university, shared her childhood memories of her stay in Artek.

She stressed that the most important thing that Artek taught her is the ability to make friends. And this skill remained with her for the rest of her life.

The meeting ended with the Artek catchphrase: “An Artek citizen today is an Artek citizen always!”.

Director of ICC "Artek" Konstantin Fedorenko said: "Artek" is an International Children's Center with almost a century of history.
During all the years of its existence, it not only leaves an indelible mark on the lives of those who have been here at least once, but also often dramatically influences the future fate of its pupils.

The initiative to hold the international campaign “People of Artek” belongs to the children: “Finding Artek residents, learning and telling their peers about the role the legendary camp played in their lives is an important mission.”
