The presentation of the International Action "People of Artek" was held at the Russian House in Tashkent. “Many years ago in one big country every child dreamed about it. And every adult sincerely envied those who had been there or who had yet to do so. We are talking about Artek, - Mikhail Vozhdaev, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Republic of Uzbekistan, greeted the schoolchildren with these words.

Neither he nor the other adults who met in the conference room were in Artek. Maybe that's why there was some sadness in their eyes...

Tashkent schoolchildren were able to communicate with high school students Veronika Juraeva and Arina Semyonova, who were in Artek last summer and talked about their experiences. Schoolgirls showed a video film they made about the international children's center, talked about new friends from dozens of countries, about numerous competitions, sports events in which they took part, about the fantastic nature of the Crimea and the Black Sea.
