The "Artek, Add to Friends!" camp session is gaining momentum

In the first days of the shift, when the acquaintance with the squad and counselors is over, it's time to explore the Artek territory. Games dedicated to getting acquainted with the history, traditions and territory of the Children's Center were held in all nine camps of the Children's Center.

Getting acquainted with the camp is one of the first things to do at the Artek International Children's Center. The territory of each camp, in addition to the unique nature, includes a large number of historical and memorable places. Traditionally, for the participants of each shift there is an informative quest, within the framework of which the counselors familiarize their pupils with the sights of the camp, which now becomes their home for three weeks.

On the first day after arrival, the Artek residents of Azure set off to explore the landmarks of the children's camp. Starting from the square named after cosmonaut Vladimir Komarov, the children walked to the "Italian Staircase", visiting stations on the Balustrade, Summer Bandstand, near the Chaliapin Rock, on Pushkin Square and other famous points on the picturesque map of "Azure".

The games were held in all children's camps of the center. The children learned a lot of new information and are ready to take an active part in other activities of the events. The eighth shift prepares a lot of surprises for the guys.

"I plan to spend this shift as productively as possible: to participate in all activities, make friends, participate in competitions, attend master classes. I have always dreamed of having friends all over the world, and I am very happy that Artek has given me this opportunity," said Ilya Maslovsky from the Republic of Belarus.

"I came to Artek with my classmates and friends. It so happened that I heard about Artek from my parents, they told me that as a child they dreamed of going to this place and I firmly decided that I had to go for a shift. I have already made friends with guys from different countries. The nature here is very picturesque and we have a lot of activities. I believe that Artek allows every child to open up, to reveal his or her potential," said Ekaterina Kim from Uzbekistan.

"My grandmothers, my aunt and cousin were in Artek and they told me about this wonderful place. I like everything in Artek: nature, counselors, my squad, food. I think I will have a great time," said Mary Asatryan from Armenia.

"There is a "Russian House" in our city, where I attend various cultural events and study the Russian language. That's where I learned about Artek. It's very large-scale, beautiful nature, kind people, delicious food - I like everything here. Most of all I like that my squad and I do everything together, like a real team," shared Maria El Helou from Lebanon.

"This is the first time I'm in Artek, I've been striving for it for a very long time. The nature here is wonderful, the sea is beautiful. I am amazed by the friendliness and sincerity of the guys. In just 24 hours we all became friends, the feeling that all the guys from the detachment have known each other for a long time," shared Maria from Rovenki, LNR.
