Artek students will present the Children's Manifesto of Friendship

The 8th shift at Artek was attended by children from Russia and more than 50 countries. Children communicate, make friends and have a great time together. Among the Artek residents are the winners of the "People of Artek" International Campaign, who on August 2, together with other children, will participate in the "Club of Friends of Russia" Round Table. As part of the event, a children's Manifesto of Friendship will be presented. Artek students have already started working on the text of the Manifesto, with the help of experts from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Rossotrudnichestvo.

Roman Romanov, coordinator of the United Russia party project "World of Opportunities", General Director of the ANO "Let's Make Together"; Dmitry Polikanov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo); Dmitry Polikanov, Head of the Division for International Youth Cooperation and Tourism of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Rossotrudnichestvo, spoke to the Artek residents via teleconference.

"At the Round Table to be held on August 2, we will present the Manifesto, discuss it, and it will be published on various official information platforms. As suggested by Artek, this Manifesto will be the result of the international shift, we supported this idea and ask you to take part in the development of this document. The Manifesto will become a bright appeal of Artek children to the entire world community," said Roman Romanov, the head of the United Russia party project "World of Opportunities", Director General of the ANO "Let's Make Together".

Dmitry Polikanov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, told the Artek students how the Manifesto is drafted and what to pay attention to: "The future is yours, you have all the opportunities to change the world in your hands. It is important that you write an open and sincere text. If you write what you really think, this document will be special. Do not try to imitate adults, be yourself and write from yourself," he appealed to the children. Dmitry Polikanov shared useful tips with the Artek students, and told them what they should pay attention to when drafting the Manifesto.

Konstantin Kolpakov, Head of the Division for International Youth Cooperation and Tourism of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the children from the margins of the Russia-Africa Summit: "The Council of Young Diplomats has many different areas of activity and mentoring is one of them. Part of our mentors will work with you."

The adults noted that the Manifesto of Friendship will be distributed at different venues and children from different countries will be able to sign it.

Artek students will be able to get invaluable experience from communication with representatives of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Rossotrudnichestvo. The children have already talked to their mentors and discussed organizational issues. Ahead of them are serious work on the text of the Manifesto and preparation for the Round Table "Club of Friends of Russia", which will unite children from different countries of the world.

Among the participants of the event are the winners of the "People of Artek" International Campaign, which was realized within the framework of the "World of Opportunities" party project of United Russia. The organizer of the action is the ANO "Let's Make Together".

"To participate in the action, I conducted a research paper about a compatriot who visited Artek and found out what he achieved. I told about a man who, as a child from a small village in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, was able to go to Artek thanks to his academic success. Here he was charged with incredible energy and realized that he could do many things. This man went to university, became a great surgeon and a wonderful person," said Anastasia Tretyakova from Kyrgyzstan. "I would very much like to work together with children from different countries, communicate with them and create a Manifesto that children around the world will take as a call to action. I believe that the Manifesto should be sincere and light a fire in the eyes of children who will read it.

The winners of the People of Artek International Campaign are very excited about the opportunity to work on the Manifesto together with their peers from Russia and other countries.

"I think the work will be very interesting, we already have a lot of ideas. I know what interests children in my country, I am ready to share it with other Artek people," said Mary Asatryan from Armenia.

"Our Manifesto of Friendship should be sincere, expressing the children's thoughts that we want to convey to the whole world. Working on such a document is an interesting experience for me. I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to communicate with experts and work with the children in a team," shared Ksenia Korunets from Belarus.
