Schoolchildren of Abkhazia have been taking part in the international contest “People of Artek” for several years now and every year they look forward to a new contest with enthusiasm. “Artek is a place where I can make new friends, where there is fun, and I really hope that I can go there again,” said one of the participants of the contest. In 2023, 14 winners from Abkhazia visited Artek.

This year, the contest commission of Abkhazia includes: the chief specialist of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Abkhazia Nonna Kvitsinia, the representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Abkhazia Natalya Kayun and the head of the methodological department of the Russian language and literature of Sukhum Yulia Ketia. Dmitry Fedotov, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Abkhazia, heads the commission and the executive secretary of the commission is Daria Arkhipova - press secretary of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Abkhazia.
