We are excited to share the inspiring story of Neha Anoop from Trivandrum, India. In the summer of 2023, Neha had the opportunity to go to, Artek, after winning the People of Artek Contest. As part of the contest, she prepared a research project about the influence Artek had on someone from her country who had visited the camp before. Her "Artek hero" was an Indian Member of Parliament who had once been to Artek.

The camp took place from July 15 to August 4, and those three weeks became truly unforgettable for Neha. At Artek, she experienced mountain hikes, history lessons about Artek and Russia, conferences with diplomats, as well as excursions, cultural events, and made new friendships.
"The days I spent at Artek were so beautiful and memorable that they will remain in my heart forever," says Neha.

Neha's return from Artek marked a new chapter of growth for her. Her academic achievements are remarkable: she scored 99.8% in the CBSE X Board Exam in 2022, securing 2nd place in India, and in 2024, she achieved 99.2% in the CBSE Plus Two exams in Humanities, once again earning the 2nd rank in the country.

Currently, Neha is pursuing her BA in Analytical Economics at Mar Ivanios College in Trivandrum, supported by a Maravana Scholarship under a four-year degree program.

Neha dreams of returning to Artek — not just as a participant, but as someone who can contribute to strengthening international dialogue and friendship.
