In Thiruvananthapuram, a meeting was held between the Contest participants and an Indian Artek alumnus from 1977

On March 5, 2025, the ARTEK meeting was held at the Russian House in Trivandrum, organized by the Honorary Consulate of Russia. Schools that passed the selection round participated in the event.

The event was coordinated by Mr. Ratheesh Nair, the Honorary Consul of Russia and Director of the Russian House in Trivandrum. The chief guest of the meeting was Mr. Binoy Viswam — former Minister and Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Kerala State). He shared his memories of his trip to Artek in 1977, where he led the Indian children's delegation — an experience that took place 48 years ago.

Out of the 25 participants in the first meeting, 10 students advanced to the next round. They will continue their work on March 6 and 7, interacting with other Artek heroes and preparing research projects.

The ARTEK meeting was an important step in strengthening cultural ties between Russia and India.
