A school student from Portugal took part in an online competition, where she not only told the listeners about Artek but also created a short film about the international children’s center. The participant also shared her dream of visiting Artek:

“My name is Sofia Golub, I am 13 years old. I was born and live in Portugal, and I’m in the 7th grade. I am a professional swimmer, and I dream of going to the Olympics! I love my family and friends! Even though I live in Portugal, I have always been interested in Russia, its history, and culture. One day, I saw a vlog about the children’s center ‘Artek’ and fell in love with this place! I couldn’t even imagine that something like this exists, and now I have a dream — to visit there! In my video, I tried to tell not only about the 100-year history of this center but also to explain what summer vacations are like in a place like Artek! There is nothing like this in Portugal, and I really wanted to share my little dream with my classmates, to show that it is possible to relax and develop at the same time. I hope I succeeded!”
